Camp Location

The camps are held at:

King’s Camp, 9141 Kings Dr, Mer Rouge, LA 71261

Please provide transportation for your child to and from the camp. Alternatively, bus transportation is available from Shreveport.

Bus Transportation

A bus with limited seating (22 seats) will be transporting campers to and from Shreveport. Bus will depart and return from the parking lot of the Catholic Center, 3500 Fairfield Ave, Shreveport, LA 71104.

What to Bring

  • Signed Medical Release Form (download here). Please send the form to camp with your child, along with payment of $100 per camper.
  • Pillow, sleeping bag or bedding. Participants will be staying in air-conditioned bunkhouses. The beds have clean mattresses, but bring your own bedding.
  • Several changes of clothes. You’ll want to change after doing outdoor activities and water sports.
  • Bathing suit
  • Athletic shoes. Flip flops and/or sandals are fine to bring, but bring athletic shoes for the ropes course.
  • Water shoes for canoeing (if desired – not necessary)
  • Camouflage or dark-colored clothes for night games
  • Nicer outfit for Sunday Mass
  • Two towels
  • Personal toiletries, including soap and shampoo
  • Bible
  • Rosary
  • Notebook & pen
  • You may bring a cell phone, though it will be held by camp counselors for emergency use only.
